POTATO CHIPS????

Crispy, sleek, crunchy, as well as an  addictive munchy snack..Potato chips..

A common snack available all over the world at a reasonable cost but the question here is, what price do we have to pay for our health upon eating this salty snack regularly:-(

Let's dive into the healthy/RISKY effects of the deep fried sliced potatoes tossed in salt and chilli powder.

If you are among those who eat chips once a while you need not worry!!

The main ugly fact lies in the deep frying, it notably adds a lot of calories and increases your weight on long run and as mainly trans fats or even saturated fats are used for deep frying foods and these fats are the so called bad fats and the underlying cause of your heart attacks by slowly piling up all the fat you eat which gets converted to LDL cholesterol and and thus blocking the vessels that supply blood to all parts of the body..Scaring..Right!! So friends! Need not remember my whole article, but just store these few lines in your brain, so that your brain will switch on the Red signal when you go on picking these tasty and seductive chips:-)

And the large amount of hidden salt they sprinkle on your chips makes you crave for more and more..which is nothing but again ingesting lots of sodium which causes a raise in blood pressure, fluid retention.

The Vitamin C and the potassium present in potatoes get vanished while we deep fry the potatoes, so whatsoever the nutrients in potatoes(except the carb) are also lost if we eat potatoes in the form of chips:-(

Recent researches have revealed another alarming statement that a dangerous chemical called acrylamide is formed from the sugars and aminoacids in potatoes when they are exposed to higher temperatures. People who have the habit of daily having chips are known to get accumulated with this terrific chemical acrylamide and thus become more prone to cancers and also the lining of the arteries get hardened slowly as you tend to age and suddenly may block your arteries resulting in heart attack or even stroke.. Point to be noted before you visit your canteen or grocery store for your pack of fried potato chips daily.

Women have also to be more cautious before they rely on a pack of chips during mood fluctuations, be it happiness, party time, loneliness, anger, frustration or just for time pass.. You gotto dump your relationship with chips if you are too addicted to it, as research studies have claimed that the acrylamide formed in chips is known to cause oestrogen receptor positive breast cancer, post-menopausal ovarian  cancer as well as endometrial cancer in certain women in long run if chips are a part of your daily life for years!!

Kids are also not spared with the ill effects of these if taken daily or more than 3 times a week, and certain studies show that children who eat potato chips regularly may develop hyperactivity disorder and may also become hyperphagic( increase in hunger) in which they land up in eating more and slowly become addictive..No wonder we see many kids crying for chips and even we parents are to be blamed to make them addicted.
